CutAway only sees what you grant it. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → CutAway and choose All Photos or select specific videos to make them available.
No. Every export creates a new video in Photos. Your original clips are never changed.
When clips have mixed aspect ratios or orientations, CutAway has to re‑encode the timeline to fit them together. When every clip has the same orientation and resolution, the app uses passthrough export — no re‑encoding, near‑instant.
No. CutAway does not upload, analyse, or telemeter anything. See the Privacy Policy.
That clip has no audio track — for example, a silent screen recording or a drone clip recorded without audio. The waveform strip is rendered but has nothing to draw.
