CutAway — Privacy Policy

CutAway is a touch‑first video editor for iOS. This policy explains what data the app does and does not process.

What CutAway does not do

• No accounts. You do not create a login or profile.
• No tracking. The app does not track you across apps or websites and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
• No analytics or telemetry. The app does not send usage data, event logs, crash reports, or device identifiers to any server.
• No third‑party SDKs. CutAway uses only Apple platform frameworks. It does not embed advertising, analytics, or social‑media SDKs.
• No cloud sync operated by CutAway. The app does not upload your videos anywhere. iCloud Photos syncing, if enabled on your device, is handled by Apple outside this app.

What CutAway accesses on your device

• Photos library. With your permission, CutAway reads the videos you select so you can edit them, and writes the exported results back to Photos. All editing happens on your device. Originals are never modified — CutAway always writes a new asset on export.
• Local app settings. Preferences (for example, your last-used export mode and UI state) are stored in the app's sandbox via UserDefaults on your device.

What leaves your device

Nothing sent by CutAway itself. If you choose to share an exported video with another app (Messages, Photos, etc.), that transfer is governed by the receiving app's privacy terms, not CutAway's.

Children

CutAway does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will replace this page and the "Last updated" date at the top will change.
